U.S. home sales grew in November, and the year’s sales are on pace to be above last year’s, but the housing bust was far worse than originally thought, a real-estate trade group said Wednesday.
The National Association of Realtors said sales of previously occupied homes in the U.S. rose 4.0% in November to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.42 million. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had expected a 2.0% monthly increase.
